Honey bees got in around the chimney and built a hive deep under the roof tiles. Eli pulled back the tile, worked around the flashing and found the hive much bigger than it looked from outside.
Like every job, this was a live removal with no chemicals: the bees and all the comb came out, the colony went to a beekeeper, and the entry point was sealed so bees don't move back in.
