Swarm Under a Rooftop Blower Unit at a Rancho Cucamonga Warehouse
What happened on this job
A swarm settled under a blower unit on the roof of a Rancho Cucamonga warehouse that makes parts for hospital and medical equipment. I worked around the base of the unit and took the bees out from the side, with minimal disruption to the building. They went into a bee box, with a check-back planned 5 to 10 days later.
Like every job, this was a live removal with no pesticides: the bees and all the comb came out, the colony went to a beekeeper, and the entry point was sealed so bees don't move back in.
